Alisoun created Dining Haul and Cochon Ball, two independent, on-going series dedicated to using food and untapped venues as gallery spaces.  Since being founded in 2001, Alisoun’s projects have represented over 100 artists, 20 chefs, and a selection of writers and musicians.

Cooking food and making art both have a built-in sense of invitation, delight, and this do-it-yourself force. Alisoun’s interest in food, large size of her artwork, and her preference for using unusual environments are all components in her quest to deescalate the filters, making art accessible to everyone.
